UGL Unicco's corporate-level programs and community-based efforts support a variety of educational, environmental, cultural and humanitarian organizations that benefit the people and communities we serve.

Very much in line with UGL Unicco's philanthropic philosophy of improving the quality of life by creating educational and economic opportunity, is our support of the Office of New Bostonians (ONB). The Mayor's Office of New Bostonians was established to meet the needs of the growing and changing immigrant and newcomer communities in Boston. UGL Unicco is a proud funding partner of some of ONB's major initiatives including English for New Bostonians.
Habitat for Humanity International is dedicated to building respectable, affordable housing in partnership with those in need of adequate shelter.
Over the past few years, we have donated over $150,000 and more than 1240 hours of elbow grease in the form of employee volunteerism to Habitat for Humanity.
The Jimmy Fund works locally to create global impact. The fund supports the fight against cancer at Boston's world-renown Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, helping to increase the chance of survival for children and adults with cancer around the world. UGL Unicco supports the Jimmy Fund's efforts on several levels: corporate donations, event sponsorship, and employee volunteerism. Our three-pronged approach enables us to support this community-based cause both as a company and as individuals. We support the organization with both targeted philanthropy and general funding to help the organization as it sees fit.
Over the past seven years, we have sponsored an annual golf and tennis tournament, raising more than $800,000 for the Jimmy Fund and the fight against cancer.
Consistent with its core values, we believe self-betterment begins with education. We are committed to the welfare of the broader UGL Unicco family, and offer a scholarship program as part of our commitment to this community. Children of fulltime UGL Unicco employees are eligible for a variety of scholarships to support their attendance at two- and four-year institutions of higher education, post-high school vocational schools, and training programs.
